The staff were genuinely friendly, and we enjoyed sitting outside in the sunshine watching people go by. The pub is in a lively part of Peckham, with plenty happening nearby, and it was perfectly placed for our visit to 58th Street. The station for Central London is handy too. Our room could use an update, though, and didn’t feel worth the £190 a night we paid. The bathroom was shabby, with black and orange mould around the shower. The shower head height couldn’t be adjusted, and the drain was blocked, so the bathroom flooded unless we stopped the water halfway through and waited for it to drain. We reported it on our first day, but it wasn’t fixed.

The pub had a great atmosphere, which made for a really enjoyable Saturday lunch for four adults and two children. The food was top-notch pub grub, and the bar was immaculate and well stocked. Service was even better than the food. The staff kindly offered to move furniture around for our buggies and high chairs. Cheers, guys.
Room 16 was right at the top, so it was nice and quiet, with a view over gardens instead of a brick wall. The room was clean, comfortable and a good size, with plenty of hanging space. The bathroom was roomy too and had a powerful shower. One small thing, the sink had nowhere to put the little complimentary hand soap, so I had to set it on the wooden counter. A soap dish would help protect it. Breakfast was lovely. We had the full English and the veggie breakfast, both good quality, hot and tasty. The owner/manager was super friendly and chatty, and seemed to really enjoy meeting people and doing the job. It’s a family-friendly pub run by lovely people, and the hospitality was exceptional. We stayed here because it was only a few minutes away by cab from 58th Street. Would definitely recommend it and look forward to coming back.
The check-in was a breeze, and the staff were friendly. Our room was lovely and cosy. We spent two nights here, and it was a handy spot for wandering around Peckham. I’ll be back next time I’m in the area.
We both slept really well in the big, very comfortable bed, and the room was spacious. The bathroom was new and immaculate too. The room could use a bit of a spruce-up, and the corridors and stairs felt a little tired, but everything was very clean. We stayed for two nights and had breakfast on one morning. It was probably one of the best breakfasts we’ve had while staying away. The pub has rooms upstairs, about a six-minute walk from the station, and 58th Street is around ten minutes away on foot. We’d definitely stay again if we were in the area.
