The young waiters were polite and lovely, and they took the sirloin off the bill when I sent it back, fair enough. But that tough steak ruined my meal. There were four of us, and the other three meals were okay. Mine was meant to be medium rare, but it wasn't, and it was very tough. I tried it, then left it. I don't know how it made it to the table in the first place. I'd enjoyed meals here before, which made this visit disappointing 😞

There were 12 of us in the family, dining on a Thursday before a wedding nearby the next day. The staff were friendly and couldn't have been more accommodating. We had plenty of space at a long table just off the bar, and they also provided a highchair. The food was delicious and there was lots of it. Highly recommend a visit.

That prawn and crayfish cocktail is a 13/10. The portion of meat for the price is astonishing, so order it and you won't be disappointed. Nice pub with a good vibe.

We stopped for one night on our way further south and loved the atmosphere in the public rooms. It's a great country pub and hotel, not far from Newport Pagnell, with a well stocked bar and varied, delicious evening food. Our room was quiet and comfortable, with tasteful decor and a great shower. Breakfast was a delight too, and the staff were cheerful and attentive.
