The Old Barn Inn

We had our wedding reception and evening party here on 17th October 2025, and the room took our breath away. Everything we’d asked for and more was laid out beautifully, with such attention to detail. It showed how much the staff cared about the guests they were looking after on such an important day. Everyone was professional, kind, and attentive without being pushy, and nothing was too much trouble. They were smiley and happy, and didn’t seem to mind being at work, which really set the tone for the whole day. The food was superb and people are still raving about it. A beautifully run venue with lovely staff, and they made our wedding day magical.

The staff were lovely, and everyone I spoke to was friendly. I lost a star because service at the bar took a while, though they had a party and a wedding happening at once, so that was fair enough. Apparently the wedding party drank the bar dry, and the gin was lovely. I went to a wedding here and had a lovely day. It’s a small, cute and cosy venue with a nice bar, though drinks are pricey, as is pretty standard now. A pint of pepsi max was £3.45 and a medium merlot £6.90, which gives you an idea. I didn’t stay, but went into my mate’s room. It was cut, looked clean, and had a good layout. It was no different from a primmer inn, which I love. As long as the bed was comfortable, that’s all that matters. There’s loads of parking and the location is great.

We booked the venue for a 60th birthday party, and found a wedding was happening there at the same time. We were seated in the conservatory while the wedding was in the main bar. Even with so many people there, they provided table service for drinks without any problems. The food arrived on time, piping hot, and with no mistakes. Service was second to none, and I’d strongly recommend the place for a party or get-together. Thanks to all the staff. They were helpful and courteous, and carried out their role professionally and to a high standard.

We went to the Old Barn Inn for a wake, then stayed for dinner and the night. It’s a very nice venue, with pleasant staff, reasonable prices, and nice food.
