Smarties Surf Lodge

Jackie made us feel at home straight away. She’s warm, welcoming, full of local knowledge, and even helps guests book activities. She seems to know everyone nearby, and nothing is too much trouble. Don’t miss the full English breakfast, it’s delicious. We loved the colourful room, especially the cosy window seat, and the bed and bedding were so comfortable. Smarties Guest House is peaceful, charming, and close to everything. We stayed two nights and only wished we could’ve stayed longer. All the stars from me. Just loved it!

I went with my dad for two nights of surfing, and we’ll definitely come back now that we know Jackie. She was so welcoming and helpful, and made our stay even better. The room was just right, and the beds were comfortable after a full day in the water. Jackie’s amazing breakfast gave us plenty of energy to surf all day. The location worked perfectly too, with the main town and its beaches nearby, and Fistral beach an eight minute walk away.

Jackie’s energy helped make our stag weekend a great one. There were 13 of us, and she cooked an amazing breakfast for everyone on both mornings, just the thing to start each day. The location, rooms, beds, and bathrooms at Smarties are all perfect, and Jackie is a wonderful hostess. Thanks for another incredible weekend in Newquay. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else there.

I loved my five nights at this welcoming, clean, cosy guest house. Coming back after being out felt like coming home each time. It’s perfectly placed for short walks to Fistral and all the action in town.
