The room was okay, nothing special. The towel felt soft and seemed clean, but there was a noticeable dark mark by the stitched edge that made me wonder how carefully the linen is checked. The glass shelf over the sink also sticks out at an awkwardly low height, so it seems easy to bump your head on it. Breakfast at 8:30 AM is too late for business travellers who need an early start, which makes the hotel seem poorly suited to work trips.

After our time on the moors, we stopped at the pub and restaurant for food. The lamb chop and fish and chips dinners were both amazing. I'd recommend eating here whether you're staying at the hotel or just passing through.

We came back for lunch after first visiting about three years ago, and it was just as good as we'd hoped. Lovely pub, excellent food, friendly service, and very reasonable prices.

The evening meal was delicious and beautifully presented, and our room was lovely and exceptionally clean. We only stayed one night, but hope to return to the area for a longer visit. Thank you.

We only popped in for a quick drink, but when our truck wouldn't start and we had to arrange recovery, the staff were incredibly helpful. The owner even managed the traffic in the car park so the tow truck could get through. While we waited, the service was good and the place had a great atmosphere, with happy customers enjoying their evening. We'll be back.
