Premier Inn Scarborough - North Bay

The staff have been so friendly and helpful from the start, and nothing has been too much trouble. It was my sister's 60th birthday, and they let me put a banner, lights, and other things on the table. Colin and George gave us breakfast on the house, and we also got free dessert with dinner. The food was amazing. My boiled eggs were cooked just how I like them, and there was a great breakfast selection. Daniel served us at dinner. Two people in our group had steak cooked exactly as they requested, and my tikka skewers with rice instead of the original side were delicious. We all had starters too. The prawn cocktail was full of prawns, and my husband was able to get the jalapenos taken off his nachos. Our room is large and the bed is comfortable. I struggled with the shower over the bath, so next time I'll book a wet room. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Premier Inn breakfast is the best, and George and his team make it even better. They're such a friendly bunch, always smiling and ready to help, which makes breakfast easy and stress-free. Shout out to Colin and George. I think I'm a regular now :)

The staff we met were superb. A couple of them were incredibly friendly, clearly took their jobs seriously, and had great people skills. The food was really enjoyable and high quality, and the staff serving it were excellent. I've stayed here about four or five times and still rate it highly. The North Bay location is superb, and the huge car park usually has spaces. It costs £7.90 for 24 hours, though that will probably go up soon. The rooms were clean and spot on, with very comfortable beds, but the cutbacks were obvious this time. Nobody was at reception when we arrived, so we had to ring the bell to start check-in. The rooms weren't cleaned during our three-day stay. I knew you now had to request a clean by noon the day before, I think, but we still had to go to reception for partly filled shower gel and toilet roll. Again, nobody was there, so we rang and waited several minutes. At checkout there was no one to ask how the stay had been, just a box to drop the key card into. A few years ago someone would be at the desk, being professional and asking about your visit. That's the way things seem to be going now. This is still a fantastic Premier Inn, and I'll definitely return. I just felt the lack of staff and cost-cutting on this stay, and hope it isn't the start of a decline.

We stayed at Premier Inn North Bay Scarborough for the Christmas Sparkle. Our clean room was ready early, with a lovely rural view over the Sparkle Market and Open air Theatre. The manager greeted us and was pleasant and helpful. It was easy to adjust the room temperature, and the glazed windows kept outside noise out. Meals had a self-serve selection of English and continental breakfast, with plenty of seating even though the hotel was full. Parking was easy, with lots of spaces, and it was free between November and March. The seafront, Sparkle Market, and The Sealife centre are all within walking distance. A free phone taxi service to South Bay was quick and inexpensive, and there's also a bus stop outside. Families can enjoy the Aqua park next door in any weather. There are two lifts for the four floors. We'd definitely stay again.
