The little touches in our room were lovely, and we really enjoyed staying the night after our works Christmas lunch. The room was outstanding, breakfast was so good, and the lunch food was amazing. Every member of staff was brilliant. 20 out of 10! We’ll be back next year. Thank you.

The pub was cosy and full of character, with friendly locals, a proper log fire and delicious food. We had a charming stay in this stunning historic pub. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and our room was clean, comfortable and full of thoughtful touches. The attention to detail was really outstanding. We’d visit again in a heartbeat.

We had an evening meal here with family, including two children. The food was fine, but it took an hour to arrive after we ordered. It was busy, but someone should have acknowledged the long wait or come over to apologise.

Lunch was good, with generous portions, and the service was faultless. Parking was the problem. The pub car park holds only about five cars, and if it's full when you arrive, getting out can be almost impossible. It also seemed to be used for storing bricks. Stockbridge is difficult for parking, so allow time if you've booked ahead.

The pub had a lovely warming fire, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay last night. Our room was beautifully clean, the bed really comfy, the staff wonderfully friendly and breakfast delicious. We’ll definitely be coming back.
