Premier Inn Northampton West (Harpole)

The building's looking tired, though it was still very clean. Our room felt welcoming, and the reception team were lovely and helpful. Housekeeping staff were friendly when we passed them in the hall, too. My husband and I booked one night because we wanted a family room with a bath, something we don't have at home. We had a relaxed evening and slept really well.

We wanted a little break, so my husband and I asked for a family room because we like the size of a Premier Inn bath. The room was warm when we arrived, clean, and welcoming. The bed was super comfy, and it got nice and dark, just right for a short getaway. The receptionist was helpful and welcoming.

The service was really good, and the staff were friendly. There's a Beefeater right next door, with a great choice of food on the menu, which we loved. I've stayed at a few Premier Inn hotels around the country, and this is one of the nicer ones.

There's no signal or Wi-Fi, and the restaurant is always closed for health and safety reasons. The showers switch between hot and cold whenever they feel like it. I've only ever seen one staff member on duty at a time, and they're always rude. It's out in the middle of nowhere with nothing convenient nearby. Don't go here.
