Premier Inn Derry / Londonderry

We’ll probably return next year. We like walking into Derry and exploring the lovely riverside walks, and the train trip to Belfast is highly recommended. There are plenty of good pubs or bars around too. Sam, Gareth and the team keep the hotel in great shape and are always willing to help. Our room was a very clean Premier upgrade, with two nice chairs, a fridge, and an iron and ironing board, handy for the few days we often stay. The one thing we don’t like is that the rooms rely on air conditioning and have sealed windows. We prefer being able to open the windows, as you can at many Premier Inns. The hotel is on the outskirts of Londonderry, with a large retail park about a ten-minute walk to the right along the main road. Right in front there’s Craig's supermarket, a fuel station, a chippy and Chinese food.

The reception team were helpful and really friendly. It’s a comfortable hotel in a good spot in Derry, and the rooms are clean and comfortable too.

The staff were really friendly and helpful at both check-in and check-out. The location’s good and the room was comfortable, although the air con could’ve been cooler. We visited during an unusually warm week, though. It looks like some rooms are being refurbished, and ours had a slightly half-new, half-old feel. No food was being served the evening we arrived, but there are plenty of nearby places to eat. I’d suggest going elsewhere for breakfast. What was available wasn’t very hot, there was only one kind of egg, and some menu items, including porridge, were missing.

The food was very good, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. I’ve only stayed here once, but the hotel was very clean.
