We arrived late on a cold night, and the food was a real treat. My tomato and chilli linguine with chicken was piping hot, with crispy chicken outside and tender meat inside. My husband enjoyed his meal deal too: the tomato soup was nicely herby, and his fish and chips were tasty and a huge portion. The reception staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. Our family room was a great size for the two of us, and parking was easy and convenient. A lovely place for a retreat. We'll definitely come back, and I strongly recommend it.

The lift was the deciding factor for our four-night break, as my mum is 83 and getting around is more challenging for her now. It was excellent value and very competitively priced. The staff were welcoming, helpful, friendly and engaging, and made our stay enjoyable. Finding the place was easy. There is parking outside for loading and short-stay disc-zone spaces. You can buy a disc from roadside machines, or use one from your own area if it uses the same system. The long-stay car park is through the archway on the Riverside, with 24-hour parking and no return within four hours. Our room had everything we needed: it was clean, tidy, warm and roomy enough for both of us. We used the TV one night when we were too tired to do anything else. Refreshments could be replenished at the station behind the check-in desk on the way to the room. Room service and housekeeping were available on request, and there was a bar and restaurant for breakfast or dinner. We were busy exploring and ate out, but I'd definitely stay here again.

The staff were so friendly and chatty, and even held our baby while we ate pudding. They quickly put up a cot when we needed one. Our Premier Plus room was spacious and comfortable, conveniently close to the lift. Breakfast was fresh, tasty and well stocked, and we enjoyed the evening meal too. Possibly the best Premier Inn we've stayed in.

A handy place to stay for a weekend or a business trip to Berwick Upon Tweed. The railway station is an easy 15-minute walk away, or you can take a bus. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, including some with gluten-free options, along with wine bars and distinctive pubs. The rooms are clean and well maintained, and there's a good choice of drinks and other things for guests. Breakfast is good and well worth the 10.99 price. For a three-star hotel, it felt like a five-star experience.
