We booked one night for our wedding anniversary. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly and the leisure facilities okay. It was fine, but a few simple changes could make it feel much better value. Robes could be included for every guest, and access to the leisure facilities could be part of the stay. Ten pounds each for a tired pool and steam and sauna area just isn’t worth it. With the rooms already quite expensive, it felt like they were trying to charge extra for every little thing.
I had a brilliant solo spa break here, and what a great find. The rooms were great, with a balcony, and I had the best cheese scones ever. The spa was average, and I don’t think hotel guests should have to pay an extra fee to use the facilities. The food was okay, not great. I had a fish dish that wasn’t the best, and now I wish I hadn’t spent the money on it. Still, all in all, it was a good experience.
I’ve been here lots of times for a stay, afternoon tea, the spa and leisure facilities, or lunch with friends. This time I was early for the spa, so I went to the lounge for coffee. The bar staff and waiter Louie were so friendly and went above and beyond. Louie asked for my lunch to be hurried through so I could eat before my spa session. The vegan roasted Mediterranean veg and red pepper hummus sandwich was lovely, and came as a generous portion with dressed salad and crisps. I was really happy with the service, food quality, vegan options and lovely bar lounge decor. I also highly recommend the afternoon tea. We’ve had it many times before, and it’s always delicious and such a good experience.
This was my second stay, and I’d gladly recommend the hotel for its facilities and service all round. The food was good, and the pool and spa facilities are excellent. I had a lovely massage, probably the best I’ve ever had. Thank you, Jessica. Everyone on staff was really helpful, and I’m sure I’ll come back someday.
We booked at the last minute and had a great chance to get away and relax. From the moment we arrived, a lovely, friendly staff member welcomed us at reception. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. We had a brilliant evening meal, and the bar and restaurant staff were efficient, helpful and really on the ball. It was great to see the young staff working so well together.
