Stayed one night with my gorgeous wife and absolutely loved the place. Check-in was easy, and they kept our bags while the room was being prepared. Our room had loads of character and style, looked out over the church, and was quiet at night. The big bed was spotless and very comfortable. The pub attached to the hotel is cosy and welcoming, with charm and some seriously strong beers. Give them a try! The guy behind the bar was cool on Sunday night. Location, room, cleanliness and staff were all perfect. We never got around to breakfast, lol. Thanks, see you again!

I stayed in mini double room nr. 202, which didn't feel mini at all and had enough space. It was clean, with a comfortable bed, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a minibar for an extra charge. It was handy being able to leave my luggage at the hotel before check-in or after check-out. The location is perfect for walking around the city centre. I'd stay again.

Breakfast was absolutely superb, though we didn't try the evening menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely spot, which is well located and within easy reach of the main areas.

We tried afternoon tea at Lace Market and had a fantastic time. The scones were the standout, freshly baked and served warm, and everything was made in-house, which you don't find at many places that rely on store-bought items. The service was friendly and attentive the whole time. Chef Cristina also took a moment to chat with us, which made it feel more personal. It would be lovely to have a savory afternoon tea option in future. We really enjoyed the experience and would happily recommend it.

Great location and a lovely reception area. The staff were kind and even offered breakfast, but there was no real follow-up or compensation for the problems. The Lace Market car park is £16-£19.50 a night, with no hotel discount, and there's no parking onsite. Inside, the hallway smelled damp and my Deluxe Double Room felt hot, musty and worn. The windows were fogged with condensation and couldn't be opened. The mattress was lumpy, the sink was blocked, the skirting was chipped and the bathroom sealant had mould. You could hear everything, taps, chains and even the upstairs guest using their basin. I was excited to stay at The Lace Market Hotel, one of Nottingham's so-called best, with its Georgian charm. The old, quirky lift adds character, but that was about where the charm stopped. Beautiful building, but sadly shabby rather than chic.
