Smithfield Hotel

The location was great, and it was excellent value. Everything was immaculate, inside and out, and the hosts were so nice. Breakfast was lovely and made to order. We stayed three nights and probably should've added another night or two, there's more to see here than you'd expect. Don't hesitate to book.

The hotel was a comfortable base for one night near the main Neolithic sites. I was warmly welcomed and had a comfortable room, with a large bathroom and a great shower. They also catered to my food preferences with a lovely vegan breakfast, which I really appreciated.

Four of us, all coach drivers, stayed here last week. The local staff were friendly and went well beyond what was expected. It felt like a little slice of perfection in Orkney. I'd highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Orkney.

We stayed about a year and a half ago, and I just realized I'd never reviewed it. After a horrible experience at our previous hotel, they took us in on extremely short notice and did all our laundry for cheap. They were some of the most accommodating people we met on our whole trip to Scotland. They saved our stay in Orkney, which turned out to be a highlight for me and my fiancé.
