Sea-view rooms cost more, but the views across the bay are lovely. The hotel is a short walk from the pier and Paignton town centre, so we could get to the shops, cafes and seafront without the car. It's a smart, modern building with a relaxed bar downstairs for an evening drink, and breakfast is available, though we didn't try it since there are plenty of places nearby. The rooms were comfortable, but the shower drained slowly and ours wasn't always ready by the stated 3pm check-in. The managers helped get communication moving between facilities and front of house. The staff couldn't do enough for us and made the stay more memorable. The hotel opened in early 2024 as part of Paignton’s promenade regeneration, on a site that used to have long-standing seaside cafes and later a local bar and nightclub. A pleasant stay in a great spot.

We were four people staying in two separate rooms, and everyone slept well. The rooms were spacious, clean, modern and well equipped. The shower was a little slow to drain, but that was my only concern. The staff were polite and really helpful. We had a lovely stay and would recommend the hotel.
The staff were great. When it was Baltic outside over Christmas week, I asked about the room temperature and they turned the AC up to 24C. I also asked for firmer pillows because the ones there were too soft for me, and two arrived. The cleaning team worked quickly and quietly, thank you! The hotel was wonderful and I'd definitely recommend it. Paignton town centre itself is very run down and has potential, but could do with lots of love: flowers, cleaning, painting, more cleaning and more shops to browse.
The location was great, just a couple of minutes on flat ground to the beach and town centre, and there are lots of nice places nearby for breakfast. I stayed in a standard twin room overlooking the inner car park. It had a wardrobe, kettle, hairdryer and safe. You need to ask for extra milk and tea bags. The walk-in shower was large, but the bathroom floor got very wet because the drain was slow. There was no mirror near the dresser for doing my hair and makeup while seated, and I never understand why a twin room gets only one extra pillow, although reception had more. The car park was £15 for 24 hours. The room could have been cleaner under the bathroom sink, and the shower grout needed attention. Corners of the skirting boards had come away from the walls, and the bed making needs work. My main issue was reception service. One young woman kept reading her book when I asked to extend my car park, and carried on reading while trying to enter the car park code on the tablet. Interesting customer service. I've stayed at Ibis regularly, so was looking forward to trying this Ibis-style hotel. It was ok.
Breakfast at the sister hotel next door was really enjoyable. The room stayed at a great temperature, and the bed was very comfortable. Hotel rooms often feel stuffy to me, but this one was just right. Everything was spotlessly clean, the staff were polite and helpful, and we had a great stay. Thanks, everyone!
