Torbay Court Hotel

The lobby and bar are very nice, and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and attentive, ready to help or answer questions. The hotel is only a few minutes' walk from the beach. Our room was the weak point, quite tired and in need of decorating, and the bathroom was small but functional. For one night it was fine. A spruce-up of the rooms would make this a lovely hotel.

The single room was lovely and the staff made us feel so welcome. Breakfast came fresh and hot, just as requested. We stayed two nights and wished we'd booked longer. Best stay, and we'd certainly go again. jan x Michael x Paul x

We'd go to Paignton again, just not this hotel. The bedrooms need updating, and the outside looks neglected. It seems there may once have been a wall around the hotel, but its foundations are still there and full of weeds. The hotel is in a cul-de-sac, and a neighbour's vehicle blocked our coach in. The staff were great, the food was good, bar prices were okay, and the entertainment was good. But the plumbing was really bad: to get hot water in the shower, we had to turn on the sink's hot tap. The room smelled of drains, and there was a wet patch on the carpet that never went away.

We had a fab week at the torbay Hotel. The breakfasts and dinners were amazing, and the staff were really helpful and friendly. They were very dog friendly, too. Sincerely, we'd stay again. Thanks so much to Steven and the staff. Wendy roy jason Francis and max the dog
