Primley Meadow

The caravan had a layout we liked, and we had a good holiday overall. The first impression of the park and its caravans was that they were looking rather tired, though. Our place could use some attention: the front door hinges were worn and made it hard to open and shut, the bathroom tap pressure was so strong we got soaked, the kitchen knives were blunt, and the kettle leaked.

Getting to the zoo, just 1.3 miles away, made for a fantastic day out, and we could also catch a bus from the entrance or easily get a taxi. Our hot tub lodge was spotless, warm, and had a TV in every room. Everything worked brilliantly. The staff welcomed us warmly and helped when I couldn’t book the pool through the app, which turned out to be empty. We had a truly wonderful stay and will definitely come back.

We had a relaxing seven nights, and nearly everyone on staff was lovely. The van, or “lodge” as Primley calls it, was spotless when we arrived, and we were even allowed in early. It felt cramped, though, with narrow doorways, and the WiFi was terrible. On Sunday night, two bar staff were rude and seemed too busy planning their next night out to pay attention to customers.

We ate at the Hayloft and thought the food was tasty and good value. Everyone we met on staff was helpful and professional, and the little doggy gift bag waiting on arrival was a lovely touch. Our caravan at Primley Meadows was dog friendly and had a very clean hot tub, which park staff checked twice a day. We made the most of both the indoor and outdoor pools every day in the fantastic weather. It’s a great family park, and we’ll definitely return. We’ve already recommended it to friends and family.
