The countryside was lovely and quiet, the rooms were good quality, and breakfast was delicious. Higher Faugan Parc is a great place to unwind, while still being near Newlyn and Penzance. We could get there easily by bus, and it made a good base for trips around south western Cornwall. Dear Doug, thank you for your warm hospitality. Thanks, Gudrun and Gerhard.

We slept better here than anywhere else we can remember. The place feels luxurious, and the price was surprisingly low. We were welcomed by a friendly gentleman who showed us our room after telling us he’d upgraded us for free. He also shared lots of useful information about the area and places to eat. The guest house was peaceful, tucked away from the main road at the end of its own private drive. The grounds and hotel were beautifully kept, with parking right outside. Having a front door key meant we could come and go as we pleased. I couldn’t fault our stay and would definitely return 😊

The kids especially loved the pond, and there were lovely grounds to explore. Our room had everything we needed, with a continental breakfast laid out for the morning. The owner was friendly and helpful too. A really nice guest house.

The owner was very friendly, and the rooms were great, clean and tidy, with a lovely view. There isn’t a breakfast service, but food is available in the small kitchen. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay and would happily spend more than one day here. It was the best choice on our trip through Cornwall :-)

The view from my room was astonishing, and the bedroom was spotless. I slept so comfortably, and having a fan was a bonus. Doug was friendly and helpful when we arrived on Saturday afternoon, showed us to our rooms for the two nights, and the continental breakfast was brilliant, with pastries, cereal, toast and fruit. My parents agree. We’d definitely love to stay again. 10/10
