The village setting was perfect, and everyone we met locally was so friendly and welcoming. My Dad stayed at this pub for two nights and loved it so much he kept talking about it. He showed me around his gorgeous room when we were in the area for my son's wedding near Upavon at Chalk Barn. We'd all booked different places, and this was one of the best stays we've had anywhere in England.

We needed somewhere nearby for a wedding engagement and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the bathroom was excellent. There was a full English breakfast in the morning.

We slept really well in a very comfortable bed, and the location was nice. The beer and food were very good, both at dinner and breakfast, and the service was excellent. The rooms felt a little dated, though, and our shower dripped while the sink outflow was leaking too. Nothing major, just niggling problems.

One member of staff stayed up to welcome us after we arrived unexpectedly late, and he couldn't have been nicer. My teenage daughter and I stayed for two nights, and found all the staff very helpful. Our room was lovely, especially the waterfall shower, and we enjoyed the full English breakfast. We'd happily return to The Antelope.

The modern rooms were lovely, the beds comfortable, and the shower was great. They were very accommodating about fitting an extra bed for our three-year-old, with space left for our baby's travel cot as well. They didn't have an allergy menu or cow's milk alternatives for our baby, who has dairy and soy allergies. Still, I'd recommend it for a short stay while visiting family.
