There was loads provided, including free tea and coffee with a good machine and pods, breakfast cereal, and shower toiletries with conditioner. We could also use the big-screen TV and comfy sofas, with iPlayer and Netflix available through our own accounts. The kitchen and cooking facilities were great too. The rooms were clean, warm, and comfortable, and I could happily have stayed longer. It does get very hot at night, so I'd suggest turning the radiator off before bed. The shower temperature was nice, though the controls were a bit fiddly and the pressure could be better.

The bed was very comfortable, and the bedroom and wet room were immaculately clean with blackout curtains. It's a lovely independent hotel where guests were left to themselves. The kitchen stayed very clean, and having washing machines there is a fantastic idea. It's good value for money and not too far from the shops or the sea. I'd recommend Brewers Fayre for breakfast and will definitely stay here again.

Our only downside was a mosquito that came in through the slightly open window and kept buzzing in my ear all night. Otherwise, we loved our very clean room and found the place comfortable and well furnished. We walked over from Portsmouth, taking in the historic and scenic spots along the coast. The house is easy to reach, just off the high street with shops, restaurants, and pubs. Coded entry for the house and rooms meant we didn't need to carry a key. The communal kitchen was well stocked with basics like milk, cereal, coffee, biscuits, and bakery items, with a shelf for our own food. There were also a couple of fridge freezers, ovens, hobs, and washing machines, all looking new and well maintained. The host had sent the details and a contact number by SMS. Inside, a board listed guests and room numbers, and the shared lounge had a TV, tourist brochures, and public transport information.

The manager made us feel at home and shared tips for some great local coffee spots, without being overbearing. It's a lovely location with friendly staff and a comfy bed. Just right for a short stay, and I'd recommend it.

The best B&B I've stayed at in the UK, clean and reasonably priced.
