I only needed a place to sleep for the night, and that's what I got. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff I met were kind and friendly. My room had the basics: toilet, sink, shower, TV, desk, stool and bin. There's no kettle or tea and coffee in the room, and no other extras. It's really basic, more like a clean youth hostel than a hotel. The paint on one wall looked tired, and general maintenance could have been better.

The room was quiet and really clean, with a comfortable bed and a great shower. Temperature stayed at 20C with the AC on, and you could switch it off. The window opened too. Staff were friendly and helpful, a kettle was available on request, and checkout was available until midday.

The bed was comfy, and the price and location were good. But the staff weren't very charming. There's no hairdryer, and no kettle or tea and coffee unless you ask, which seems like a pretty basic thing to provide. Cheap and OK, really, that's about it.

It's a short walk from shops and very close to Fratton Park, with parking available. The rooms are basic but comfortable. We only found out on arrival that the lift wasn't working. It would've been helpful to tell guests beforehand, in case anyone needed to choose a different hotel.

We were able to get to the gym in the morning, and there are plenty of shops and places to eat nearby, including Tesco, McDonalds and independent takeaways. The staff were helpful, the room was comfortable, and the location works well for football fans staying near Fratton Park. There was a strange noise in the room, but after a while it just became white noise. I could hear Pompey fans outside too, but they became background noise for me. Breakfast would've been a nice addition to the booking, and I'd stay again on another visit. We lost 2-1 after conceding in the last minute, following an equalizer. Until then we had “NEVER LOST AT FRATTON PARK”!
