Ship Leopard Hotel – No Children

Breakfast came hot, and the kitchen staff were flexible about the cooked options. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the parking behind the grounds was convenient. We stayed 21st -22nd Feb 2026 for a weekend with friends. Right by the dock, it’s close to the Gunwharf attractions and bars, the Historic Docklands, and the Spinnaker Tower. The railway and bus station is across the road, so you can hear intermittent transport noise at different times, day and night. Our rooms had views of the Spinnaker Tower or the Docks and side road. We could open the windows if it got warm, and there was a kettle and tea making setup. The bathroom was compact, but everything was good and the linen was clean. We’d stay again, thank you.

The staff were kind and very friendly, and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds. Still, we wouldn’t stay again. The rooms felt dated, with chipped and worn furniture, and breakfast was average, including small prepackaged jelly and tesco yogurt. The hotel is right across from a busy bus station, and double decker buses look straight into the harbor-facing front rooms. Mediocre quality elsewhere outweighed the kind service for us.

We parked in the lockable car park and then walked everywhere. The harbour view room was brilliant, and the hotel is perfectly placed for both the historic dockyard and gunwharf quays, which are within walking distance. The bus and rail stations are directly opposite if you need them. Great hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff.

Having car parking meant we could leave the car alone after arriving. The rooms were clean and a good size, and the staff were friendly. It’s excellently located for most major attractions.
