Sure Hotel by Best Western Reading

The bathroom smelled of sewage, and the phone in the room didn't work. After my course day, I returned to find a large brown stain on the bed, even though I'd asked for the room to be cleaned that morning. I can only imagine what it was. When I asked the manager for compensation, she refused. She said the cleaners had just left and that the sheets are changed every five days. I was in Reading for a three-day course and had stayed one night. Everything had seemed fine before that. Don't stay here.

Breakfast was included, with plenty to choose from, including gluten-free and dairy-free options. There was also ample parking. The one real drawback was the fridge, which was so loud it woke me during the night. For the price, I hadn't expected much, so I was pleasantly surprised by the clean, airy room and bathroom in good condition. They supplied shower gel and hand soap, plus a fridge, microwave, plates, cutlery, mugs, and basic tea and coffee. A tea towel or somewhere to dry the dishes would have helped. I'd definitely recommend it.

The staff were really helpful, and there's a big car park. The gym is small but has what you need for a workout. My room was nice and had all the facilities, including a microwave, fridge, and cutlery. Great location. A great stay 👌🏽

Mareka and Common made my night extra special. The whole team is lovely and welcoming, especially Beatrix. She's attentive to what guests need and warm and friendly both in person and on the phone. Her customer service really added to my stay.
