I've stayed here many times and will come back. The staff are pleasant, and the rooms are clean, comfortable and well maintained. Depending on where your room is, you may hear some traffic. I prefer fresh air, so I liked being able to open the windows instead of relying on air conditioning. There's an adjustable heater and a plug-in fan, plus a shower cubicle with a removable shower head.

It's in the middle of nowhere, but there's plenty of parking and the station is handy for getting into Reading. The rooms are perfectly acceptable, though I struggled to flush the loo. The food was mediocre at best. We were told the bar was open 24 hours, but I was too tired to see if that was true. The benefits outweigh the flaws for me, so I'd stay here again.

The young woman who checked us in was warm, polite and friendly. I had to leave soon after arriving because of personal circumstances, though, and the older receptionist I spoke to was abrupt, rude and unprofessional. That really wasn't what I expected, and I wouldn't stay again.

I've stayed here a few times and the staff have always been nice. There's plenty of parking, and the refurbished bar and restaurant look very much in keeping with other Travelodges. The Showcase Cinema is within walking distance. One concern: a disabled person could struggle to reach the emergency cord in the accessible toilet if it's kept tucked up out of the way, presumably to stop children reaching it.

For the training session, the hotel's location worked well and the price was cheap. The rooms were tidy, clean and very comfortable. Dinner was the real letdown: for £15 I got what was basically a microwave burger with pale, bland chips. Breakfast was a little better, though for £10 I expected more choice. Check-in also seemed to take forever just to make a key card.
