Our room, 207, was in the Farmhouse annexe and was really quiet. It had a very comfortable bed, plenty of light from windows on both sides, and a heater with tea and coffee making facilities. Mind the ceiling beams if you're over 6 feet tall. We ate breakfast in the bar and restaurant next door, where there was a good choice and good value. The receptionist was friendly and efficient, and moved us from an accessible twin into a double with a bath. There were no towels in the replacement room, but that was sorted quickly. The bathroom door didn't close properly, though I'm sure it's an easy fix and it didn't bother us. We'd definitely stay again. There's a Sainsbury's nearby, and we enjoyed a walk to the abbey ruins.

We were glad to have somewhere to stop during a horrible journey in horrendous weather, and would stay again for the price. Our short visit was really enjoyable: the rooms were clean, the bar was good, and the price included a hearty breakfast. It was generally a great stopover. The bottom of our bath was a bit rusty and didn't look appealing for a proper bath, and some of the bar seating was ripped or taped up. That area could use a little renovation; it looks tired.

We won't eat here again. The mixed grill was small, tasteless and overpriced at £19.95. The meat was poor quality and surrounded by fat, while the plate came with a big bowl of chips instead of more of the mixed grill items. They also charged another £2 for cheese on the chips and hadn't told us about the extra cost. Dessert was stale fudge cake for £5.79, overpriced again. Compared with the jubilee pub in studley, this food doesn't come close. A rip off.

We like staying here because it's convenient and close to our grandchildren. The beds are really comfortable, and the place is always spotless. We prefer the old part as it seems quieter. The restaurant and bar are excellent, and getting 20% off food when dining in the evening is a lovely bonus. Staff are always friendly and polite, and they clear up well and quickly. The garden and play area are good for inviting our daughter and the grandchildren, since we can relax while keeping an eye on them.

The staff are amazing, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It could use a little maintenance, like replacing light bulbs, but that's minor. Having a restaurant on site is great, and the food is good.
