The Crown Inn

The service was outstanding, and our Sunday lunch arrived without much of a wait. Between the three of us, we had the beef, chicken and pork roasts, all with trimmings, and everyone enjoyed their meal. It was very reasonably priced. I'd absolutely come back.

We found the Crown on our last night in Wales, and I wish we'd eaten there every evening. We tried several pubs during the trip, but this was easily the best. I cook a lot myself and often find restaurant meals disappointing; the Tagliatelle here was genuinely delicious, with wonderful garlic and salt Foccacia, and my partner loved the hearty Belly of Pork. The pub has loads of character, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Great food in a cosy place, and worth every penny. Full credit to the chef.

I love this place and its people. We had a great time staying, eating and drinking here, and the food was excellent. Karen looked after us throughout our visit, and the staff were all superb, friendly and helpful.

They handled our large group well, and the staff gave good service. But after a hike, my salmon main felt disappointing: it came with just three tiny potatoes, two sprigs of broccoli and around seven chopped beans. The menu price also wasn't what we ended up paying, because there was an extra charge.
