Rufford Arms Hotel

The food was the highlight for me. I stayed three nights for work, and every meal was outstanding. I wish I lived closer so I could come just for dinner. My room was really spacious, with a big comfy bed, a nice bathroom, and decor I loved. The staff were great and very helpful, and the whole place felt relaxed and easygoing. I’ll definitely be back when work brings me to the area again.

We first stayed here in summer and enjoyed the local canal walks with our mini dachshunds. The restaurant has since been newly renovated and looks gorgeous. We came back for Christmas and booked dinner on Christmas Eve, which was terrific. The hotel team are always kind and attentive, and they look after us so well when we visit family in the area. For my dad’s birthday, we had a lovely evening here. The staff were welcoming, professional, and attentive, and the food was delicious, nicely presented, and generous. We had the two-course festive menu and couldn’t fault the experience. We’d definitely recommend a meal here. Thanks for a lovely evening!

We only stayed one night with our dog, and the place was spotlessly clean. The food was excellent, the staff very welcoming, and the location was really quiet. We wished we’d brought our wellies so we could enjoy a walk along the nearby canal. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely return sometime.
