Trivelles Hotels - Eccles New Road

The bathroom was nice and the price was affordable, but I spent most of my three nights cold because the heater wasn't working. I asked the staff several times to turn it on, and it only came on for one night after someone switched on the central control. Road and tram noise carried into the room, and the Wi-Fi signal was weak. I also wasn't sure the sheets had been changed. Staff seemed very laid back and were often on their personal phones. I won't book here again. Ibis is much better, with more professional customer service.

I paid to use the parking space through an app, but when I got back, the cover had been completely removed from my motorbike. The owner and staff were rude and didn't listen to what I said. The owners also seem extremely dodgy and secretive, almost as if the place is a front for something. I've seen police there quite a few times.

I've stayed here three times for one or two nights, mainly because the price and location for harbour city are hard to beat. I'd be happy to keep using it when I need a bed for the night. The rooms are large, tidy, and clean, and reception staff are friendly. The beds aren't especially comfortable, though, and light comes in around the ill-fitting doors and basic blinds. It's right by a tram stop, so you can hear the trams and might want earplugs. Better-fitting doors and blackout blinds would help, but it's not a dealbreaker. The rooms are great for the price.

Once I checked in, I didn't see another person on the premises for the rest of my stay, and I never felt safe. The room was tiny and nothing like the pictures, with dirty, holed walls and a toilet seat that wasn't attached. I even had to ask specifically for a duvet cover. When I first arrived, the doors and windows were all securely covered, so I thought the building had been condemned. My friends and I ended up calling it the Bates Motel, for good reason. Avoid.
