We enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea. The food was very nice, and so was the latte. Victoria looked after us well and made sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant and bar felt modern, clean and tidy, and the setting and location were lovely. We weren't staying at the hotel, so we paid for parking when we arrived, following the car park signs. Later we were told it was free for anyone visiting the hotel. It was only £4, so we weren't too bothered about having paid.

The room was clean, the bathroom modern, and the pillows were properly good quality. Reception and breakfast staff were both very friendly, and I had a good stay. I'd seen comments that the walls were paper-thin and you could hear everything. I was lucky to have quiet neighbours, but from the sounds I did hear, noise could be an issue if other guests aren't as considerate.

We had such a lovely New Year's stay and slept brilliantly. The place had a nice vibe, was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. It's only a few minutes' walk to local pubs and shops, too. We're already thinking about coming back. A wonderful experience ☺️

Breakfast was nicely organised, with a good range of choices. The cooked options looked delicious, and my family members who tried them said breakfast didn't disappoint. The room was exceptionally clean and well kept, and the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. It's an excellent hotel, and we'll return.

We booked this as a birthday afternoon tea for my wife, but it felt as if nobody was expecting us. We were told they were busy and offered a table in the restaurant or the tea room, which was crowded and due to receive another 30 people. There was no atmosphere, and our table was still set for dinner. The server and manager didn't know which menus were on the website. They seemed surprised that “Classic Cream Tea” was listed, and the prices didn't match either. The food was poor: watery, odd egg and lettuce finger sandwiches, processed ham and burger cheese in the ham and cheese ones, stale bread, and stale scones that fell apart when cut. For the four of us it came to just under £100, which wasn't worth it. A Tesco's meal deal would've tasted better and cost £85 less. We were married here and have held a couple of functions since, so it was shocking to see how far the place has gone downhill. Never coming back. 1/10.
