Oyo Brunel Inn

For the price, this pub offers very decent accommodation, considerably cheaper than most alternatives. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, even going out of their way to store my bike securely. They also dealt very accommodatingly with a problem I had one night. There was a loud live musician playing until nearly midnight one evening, though I could hardly hear it from my room. I'd stay again.

The person we spoke to on the phone was lovely and polite, and even though we arrived a bit later than expected, we got a nice welcome. It was our first visit to Saltash, and we'd booked a room at the last minute for two nights. The room hadn't been cleaned properly. The bedding was yellowish, and the bed felt like sleeping on springs. There was no hot water at all, and the TV didn't work properly, which they'd mentioned. For that stay, the price was too high.

Had a roast at the Brunnel and it was top tier, a Sunday lunch for £27! Highly recommend if you're in sunny Saltash 🌞

We've stayed at the Brunel Inn a few times for a rock and roll evening, but this was the worst visit so far. We paid £85 for a so-called deluxe room, and it was a farce. The room needs updating, the table was stained, and there were no spoons to stir a drink or get the teabag out. At 00.07 there was no one around to ask. The velux window wouldn't close, so hopefully it doesn't rain overnight. We waited ages for someone to come to the bar and check us in. A couple of doors away, people were arguing in a room and banging doors. The only thing I can say is that the bed is clean, I hope. I was too afraid to look any further. Not impressed at all 😔
