For our birthday celebration we booked the evening tasting menu. We started with a pre dinner gin and tonic made with locally sourced gin, enjoyed in the cosy snug. Each course tasted amazing and was beautifully presented by our hosts. The Yorkshire rhubarb crumble came with a birthday candle, and it was lovely to meet the splendid chef Michael, who came out for a chat afterwards. The weekend began with tea and Lucinda’s delicious cake, then bel with bags to our pleasant room, which had the walk in shower we'd requested. Breakfast had an extensive menu, was well cooked and presented, and our hosts served it with smiles and pleasantries. From start to finish, it was a delightful venue and exactly what we needed. Thanks to Lucinda, Andrew and Chef Michael. We'll be back soon.

We always look forward to returning to Orchard Lodge, where we've stayed with Andrew & Lucinda many times. The rooms are large and spotlessly clean, and the welcome is always warm. Breakfast is a delight, especially the tasty cooked breakfast and fresh fruit, which is the best quality I've ever had in a hotel. Each morning Andrew & Lucinda ask guests whether they slept well and what they have planned for the day, and offer helpful travel advice. It's a lovely touch that shows how much pride and professionalism they bring to running the place. Thank you, and we look forward to coming back!

Andrew and Lucinda were great hosts, and chef Michael served up another Yuletide menu par excellence. The winter feast was an amazing way to start Christmas. We're all looking forward to coming back soon.

It was just the two of us, and the summerhouse Andrew and Lucinda decorated with flowers was exactly the lovely space we wanted for afternoon tea after our wedding last Tuesday. The flowers set off the wedding theme beautifully. The food was excellent, and we both left happy with full stomachs. We'd recommend it!

We ate here last night and had an amazing dining experience. The food was top class, with locally sourced ingredients, perfectly presented and tasting exceptional. The chef is extremely talented, and the owners work incredibly hard to give guests a great experience with good old fashioned service. This won't be our last visit. BRAVO
