The pudding was a highlight, and the roast was nice too, though there wasn’t much meat. The vegetables were cooked well and not overdone. It was busy when we came for Sunday lunch, with a lively bar and plenty of people eating. The place felt friendly and had good local support. There’s street parking nearby, and dogs are welcome with water bowls and treats. I’d come back.

The pub downstairs was handy when I wanted a beer, and the food was decent. Our room was just above it, so we wondered if it would be noisy, but it was very quiet. The hotel was clean, a block back from the beach, and the staff were friendly.

The food was excellent, and Simon, Richard and the staff were all helpful and friendly. We’ve had another fantastic stay. It’s a great spot for anyone thinking of visiting East Sussex, and I’d recommend staying here.
