Beach House

It was so peaceful, with the sea visible from our room and the sound of waves at night. The redecorated interior has a lovely, calm coastal feel. Breakfast was nice, and so was the hot drinks service in the room. The staff were friendly too. I’d love to stay again.

The food was excellent, especially breakfast, and we appreciated the helpful suggestions for walks we hadn’t tried before. We stayed from 25th to 27th August, though I’m late writing this. The team welcomed us warmly, and they were brilliant throughout, working together to give the hotel a really positive feel. They were especially wonderful with our Border Collie Woody, greeting him and giving him attention the whole time. I’ve never experienced a team so dog friendly, and he loved it. The hotel is beautiful, well maintained, and comfortable. Our dog friendly room had patio doors opening onto a fenced area, which was really useful. A wonderful hotel, and thank you for making our stay exceptional.

The view from the front over the Farne Islands was magnificent, even though our room didn’t face the sea. We stayed two nights at the Beach House Hotel, and the staff were very friendly. Our room was clean and cosy, and the food was delicious. Breakfast was included in the price, with generous portions and plenty of choice. They have curry and steak nights, but we didn’t manage to try either. The reviews were good, though, and we’d definitely come again.

The beds were comfy, everything was very clean, and the staff were friendly. We also had lovely views and were close to the centre. I’m not sure we were given the right room: we paid £194 for one night, Monday, for an executive double, but it was smaller than I expected. I did get the downstairs room I’d requested because of my disability. The evening meal was lovely, especially the prawn cocktail from the lunch menu, though we had to wait until 5 for our main course from the evening menu. At breakfast, the four of us adults were given a very small table. We had to move our glasses, cups and milk jug onto the windowsill to make room for our plates. I had eggs Benedict; the poached eggs were hard, but the sauce was lovely. The Northumbrian breakfast was okay. There was a service charge on the bill, but I prefer to tip the member of staff I choose.
