I stayed in the Red Room and had a very poor experience. The Wi-Fi was poor, and the owners' customer care was too. Their dog was allowed to beg at the table while we were eating, which wasn't good. The breakfast tables were grubby and stained. In the room, the complimentary tea and coffee tray was filthy and the kettle was dirty. Milk from a flask separated in my tea, and there was dust on the floor around the bed. I didn't sleep in the bed because the bedding looked and smelled used and unwashed. I'd driven 200 miles on business, and if I hadn't, and had known the area better, I'd have found a Travelodge.

The host was amazing, and my wife and I fell in love with Nutmeg. We had a cracking weekend here celebrating our wedding anniversary. It's a beautiful hidden gem, with a perfect room and location. Thank you so much.

The room was airy, clean and lovely, with a great bathroom featuring a wet room shower and roll top bath. There was good parking and a great range at breakfast. Our host was perfect, friendly, attentive and full of useful information. Nutmeg the dog was an absolute angel, especially when she wanted a belly rub. Nothing was too much trouble.

The peaceful house and beautiful garden made a lovely impression, especially the expansive lawn to look out over at breakfast. I stayed one night near Sherborne and couldn't have asked for more from a B and B. Rupert and Camilla, along with Nutmeg the dog, were charming, friendly and attentive to everything I needed. My room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was superb: I had scrambled eggs with salmon, perfectly done and not too heavy like cooked breakfasts can sometimes be. A great experience, and I can't recommend it highly enough.
