Breakfast was the bright spot. The server was great, and they’d make fresh eggs if you asked. There are a few good restaurants nearby, and the location is alright. My room felt a bit dated, and the drains were playing up while I was there, though staff were working on the problem. Dinner at the hotel was pretty rubbish, honestly, and pricey. Drinks were expensive too.

The communal areas look modern, and the staff were friendly. There’s a large car park and plenty of rooms, with Telford reasonably accessible. Our twin room was clean, but dated, and the mattresses had no support at all. The bathroom and shower were clean enough and adequate. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was cooked well. They took a £25 deposit per person and still hadn’t refunded the £50 four days later, for a room that cost £64 for the night. Very disappointing. I probably wouldn’t stay again.

I’ve never been looked after so well at a Christmas party. I eat gluten- and dairy-free, and the catering staff went above and beyond: they made me a fresh GF bread roll, cooked part of my main course from scratch, and even created a strawberry cheesecake that wasn’t on the menu. The staff were attentive and knew how to handle dietary needs. I’d highly recommend the venue.

The bed was comfortable, and the room felt cosy. I liked the food, and the prices seem fair for today’s market. The staff were really welcoming, too. It’s my first time staying here, and the location is great. Some of the earlier reviews seem fair, while others feel harsh. Stop comparing hotels with a Wethers. Well done to the staff today.

The staff were efficient, which was about the only plus at our work Christmas party. The meal was very disappointing, from the overcooked, soggy beef to the warm, mushy dessert. Our table was right by the dance floor, and the music played at almost full volume throughout the meal, so we could barely hear each other. Guests were packed in like sardines, with hardly any room to move around the table. It should have been so much better.
