The food was impeccable. We had a Sunday roast that was proper home-cooked food, one of the best I've had. Shannon deserves a special mention too. We spent most of our time there chatting with her, and she was so friendly and bubbly, a real asset to the business. My fiancée and I stayed for two nights for our anniversary and were both blown away. The rooms are gorgeous, with a real country hotel feel, and it was peaceful and quiet, exactly what we wanted. The location worked perfectly for us, not too far from Shrewsbury town or Ellesmere, another lovely little town. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Hope to be back soon!

We were only here for one night, but the team made it such an easy stay for me, my partner Debs and our Red Setter, Teddy. Since Teddy is frightened of wooden floors, going away can be tricky. Even with it -2 degrees outside, they brought dinner from the restaurant to our room so he could stay settled. That was thoughtful, personal service. The room was a good size and handy, with parking right outside the door. Its decor could do with a little TLC, which is why I'd give the room four stars while the rest was a clear five. It didn't spoil our stay, and we'd definitely return.

Guest parking right outside the houses was a really handy surprise. I was pleased with my evening stay, and the room was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful as well. Thanks for a wonderful visit, I'll be back.
