There’s an excellent outdoor area, and the only slight snag was the car park getting busy and being a little tricky to get in and out of at peak times. We had a family Sunday dinner for six, all choosing different dishes, and every one was delicious, cooked to perfection with plenty of meat and vegetables. We finished with a scrumptious sticky toffee pudding. Excellent food, friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere.

Our evening meals were tasty, good pub food, and the room was great, clean and warm. It’s a truly lovely place to stay and eat. The staff were a delight, very friendly and focused on customers. Thank you, we’ll definitely come back.

The last two meals at The Corbet Arms have been let down by poor service, especially from the manager, who seemed to have no customer service skills and was rude. I’ve eaten here many times over the last decade, and it’s always been a firm favourite with me and my family. It’s really spoiled this lovely pub for us as a family, and we won’t be returning.

We asked for a dessert menu but seemed to be completely overlooked, so we paid and left without ordering. It’s a shame, as we’ve been a few times recently and had very positive experiences, but today’s Sunday dinner was a big letdown. The service was very poor: they first brought the wrong starter, then we waited ages and had to ask when our main course would arrive. People who came in after us were served sooner, and it took ages for our plates to be cleared. We won’t be coming back. Service was very, very poor.

Dinner was a good standard, and there was a well-stocked bar with a good choice of beers on tap. The room was very spacious, with a king-size bed and a well-proportioned en suite shower room. It was extremely well presented and had everything I needed. A great little coach house tucked away in a quiet village. I’d certainly recommend it to others.
