The restaurant wasn’t very busy, but my meal took 30 minutes to arrive. When it came, it was hot and fresh, so there wasn’t a real problem with the food. My other issues were the flat battery in the TV remote, which meant the TV didn’t work properly, and parking. The spaces are very narrow in the bottom of a multi-storey car park. Even my WV Transporter, which isn’t a wide vehicle, was a struggle to park. At £13.00 a night, I also think parking is a little steep. The hotel itself was nice. On arrival there was nobody at reception, just one self-service machine, and it was playing up. Service was okay otherwise.

Tracey and Bella made my stay at Premier Inn feel personal and welcoming. They were warm and efficient, and it was clear they cared about guests and took pride in their work. From the moment I arrived, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was right. They deserve recognition for their attitude and outstanding service. Premier Inn is lucky to have them. They turned a simple stay into a memorable one.

I stayed one night for work on 12/2/26, and the staff were all lovely that evening. After checking out on 13/2, I got to work and realised I’d left my charger in the room. I hurried back, and Adam was professional and friendly, letting me go upstairs to collect it. Thanks so much, Adam, you’re a lifesaver!

The room was very clean and tidy, but I’d booked a Premier Plus and expected better. Paint was peeling off the wall, the remote didn’t work, and its batteries looked as if a hoover had chewed them. There was also a constant hum in the room. I’d booked early check-in, but nobody was around to check me in and the buzzer was broken. The self-service scanners and QR code readers weren’t working either, so I had to leave and come back after my meeting. I’d also booked a meal deal and had to remind them about the dessert, since nobody came to check on me.

The location is absolutely ideal, and the rooms are up to the same standard as other Premier Inns I’ve stayed in. There are a few things holding this one back. The air conditioning is very noisy, turns itself on and up, and doesn’t work properly. I’ve mentioned it every time I’ve stayed, but management and staff don’t seem bothered or to have done anything about it. People I know and others in our company have had the same issue. Dinner service is slow, and I had to complain about the food quality: the meat was cold and overcooked. Draught beer has also been unavailable for weeks at a time. More than once, I was told the delivery hadn’t been ordered. A few small changes could make this as faultless as the other Premier Inns I’ve stayed in.
