Wynnstay Hotel

The staff were superb, friendly and clearly happy in their work. We had our dog with us, so ate in the bar, and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast was lovely too. We stayed at the Wynnstay Hotel in Oswestry in February, and despite the British weather, had a great time. There’s a big car park and no charge. Oswestry was pleasant to visit, and we stopped in Shrewsbury on the way back. Before leaving, we had coffee in the hotel’s coffee bar. It was perfect, even though it seemed very popular, presumably with locals. We really enjoyed the visit and hope to come back. Thank you.

Nicola at reception was especially helpful, knew the local area well, and always greeted us with a smile. Everyone on staff was welcoming and friendly, and the food was excellent. After three nights, I can say the clean, comfortable room gave me the best night’s sleep I’ve had in ages. I’d definitely recommend the hotel and will return when I’m in the area.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, finished to a high standard, and genuinely spotless. Dinner felt like a treat: everything was full of flavour, nicely presented, and arrived promptly. Chris, the manager, made the stay easy from the moment we arrived. He was attentive without hovering and quickly took care of anything we needed. You can tell he cares about the place, and he’s a real asset. We had a great experience at The Wynnstay Hotel & Restaurant and will definitely be back.

Nicola on reception helped us sort out the pre-order, and the food was exceptional. Calin, Tilly, Veronica and Sam took great care of us throughout the evening, with flawless service. Chris, the manager, kept checking that everything we needed was taken care of. Our company’s belated Christmas party last weekend was thoroughly enjoyable, and we’ll certainly come back to the wynnstay hotel for our next team party. Highly recommended. Five stars 🌟
