Sidmouth Harbour Hotel

We spent our anniversary at the Sidmouth Harbour Hotel, and it was a relaxing, memorable stay. The terrace has lovely coastal views, and the outdoor pool was a nice extra. It’s also an easy walk down to the beach. Everyone was attentive and made us feel special. Our anniversary dinner looked beautiful and tasted just as good, with thoughtful service that added to the occasion. We couldn’t have picked a better place and will definitely return.

The Christmas meals were all delicious, and it was great that family could join us for one of them. The hotel stays open to outside visitors over the festive period, which matters when local people support the restaurant throughout the year. Fiona (GM), Charlotte (Events) and the whole team worked incredibly hard to make Christmas a success. I’m a regular guest and always enjoy the friendly, relaxed atmosphere at The Harbour. The spa was as good as ever, and the small gym is just right. Rooms are very comfortable, though they do get hot. That’s the drawback of an older building, and I’d love to see air conditioning.

We booked the Prosecco afternoon tea and really enjoyed the choice of savoury and sweet treats. After our first cup of tea by the window, we moved outside for the next one. The staff were attentive and happy to help with anything. We live nearby and like coming here for a meal and the view. The hotel feels clean and welcoming, with modern furnishings. From the Upper Deck, the sea view is breathtaking.

The spa team were so friendly, and there was no guest fee. We’ve stayed at a few of your hotels, and this is the best spa of them all. Restaurant and bar staff were helpful too, especially Ellie, who has a genuinely friendly manner. Management, you’ve got a team that shows real care. We had a great stay. The hotel is lovely and the staff are great. It was 100% fun, and my husband even helped a customer who was choking. We’ll never forget that, and we’ll be back.
