The Kingswood Hotel

My wife and her sister had a delightful two-night stay over the May Day bank holiday. The staff were very attentive, and the place was clean with extremely comfortable beds. They enjoyed the breakfast and dinner, plus tea and cake in the afternoons, and are both looking forward to coming back sometime.

We cancelled and booked somewhere else with parking. It might save both the hotel and potential guests time if the parking situation is made clear upfront. I booked a room through booking.com. The hotel's listing highlights free private, on-site parking, but further down in the small print it says you need a reservation. After I booked, they contacted me to say there was no parking available for our September booking. I understand they're busy then because of the festival, but they could be more upfront about this when people book.

Such a wonderful hotel. I loved being able to book a single room with a sea view, and it was so dog friendly. The food was good, especially breakfast, when my dog got a sausage too! All the staff were pleasant, helpful and happy, and the whole place was spotlessly clean. I booked another stay before leaving.

The room was really comfortable, and having our own allocated parking space was handy. We stayed four nights and the service was great. Food was very good too.
