The garden room was stunning, with plants everywhere, and the afternoon tea was perfect. Everything was fresh and high quality, and the tea selection impressed me too. Service was impeccable. I loved that there was a section for dogs with a fire. My friend and I would absolutely come back.

We spent two nights here and left completely relaxed. We walked by the river and read by the log fire. The welcome was fabulous, the fires were lovely, and the four-poster bed was beautifully comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were lovely too, and every member of staff was smiling and welcoming. We’ll definitely return as soon as we can.

We didn’t stay overnight, so I can’t say what the rooms are like, though if they match the public areas they should be good. We came for afternoon tea, which was fantastic: generous, and everything was good. There were lots of teas to choose from, and no one rushed us. It felt relaxed and well worth a visit. The staff were friendly and chatty, and the main reason we chose the place was that it welcomes dogs. They looked after our dog so well, bringing water without us asking and giving her plenty of attention. The grounds are lovely for a walk, with quiet, relaxing surroundings.

The Sparkle spa package was one of the most blissful experiences I’ve had in ages. It included the pool, sauna and steam room, a massage and lunch, plus complimentary bubbly. The staff were so kind and made me feel thoroughly spoiled. Lunch was delicious too. A special mention for Ellie, the massage therapist. Her deep massage was excellent, and she delivered it with such a gentle, caring manner that I felt in the best hands. It was quite healing. I’ll definitely go again.
