After a full day hiking, we dropped in around 2pm on NYE without a booking, knowing it might be a risk. They welcomed us in, and the proper British home-cooked food was just what we wanted. Really nice, welcoming staff too. We enjoyed it a lot and will definitely come back next time we're in the area.

The poached eggs at breakfast were the best I've ever had, and the evening meal was lovely too. We had a beautiful room at the Victoria and would definitely stay again.

They were really friendly and made us and our dog feel welcome. The food was superb, with some welcome alternatives to the usual pub classics that still weren't too fancy. Absolutely fantastic pub.

Finished off a great Sunday lunch with treacle sponge, custard and decaf coffee. The roast beef came with all the trimmings, service was good, and the Ribblehead Bitter was spot on.

We stayed, ate and had drinks here, and couldn't have been happier. It's in an excellent location, the staff were fantastic, and the pub has charm and character in abundance.
