Rez gave me a warm welcome over Easter and showed me to a comfortable, well-equipped room. It had proper blackout blinds, an Alexa bedside clock, extra-comfy bedding, reliable Wi-Fi, stationery at the desk, and shampoo and shower gel. The whole place was sparkling clean. I chose the cooked breakfast and it was prepared very nicely. Beechwood Guest House is a short walk from the town centre and Sandhaven beach, with plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. I had a delightful visit, thank you.

Raz looked after us so well and couldn’t do enough to help. Our room on the top floor was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. It’s a five-minute walk to South Marine Park and about 10-15 minutes to the beach. We’d definitely stay again.

The place was peaceful and quiet, yet just a stone’s throw from fantastic places to eat and the spectacular beach and coastline. The owner gave me a very friendly welcome and clearly wanted me to have a great stay. The rooms are immaculately cleaned, with useful extras like a fridge and smart TV that make the accommodation suitable for short or long stays. Wonderful place in a great location.

Ocean Road made a great base for my quiet time in South Shields, with local restaurants and the seafront close by. At Beechwood Guest House, Rez was welcoming and incredibly helpful from the start. My room was exceptionally clean, well cared for and had everything I needed for a short stay. It was a brilliant visit, and I’d recommend it and stay again.

The room was comfortable, clean and well looked after, but what stood out most was the host. He was always welcoming and friendly, and happy to help with anything I needed. I had a lovely stay at Beechwood Guest House in South Shields and would definitely recommend it and come back.
