I've never had trouble here and actually love the place because it's nostalgic for me. I've been coming since I was two, for Paulton's park. There's a little park outside, and the restaurant next door is easy to get to, though its pub food is questionable but average. The rooms are big and comfortable, and I love the reception area. Once, people I was travelling with in another room said there were ants, and they were lucky to get a refund.

The pub being closed wasn't mentioned when we booked, and knowing that might have made us choose somewhere else. The staff were helpful about suggesting places to go with young children, and the hotel is very close to Peppa Pig World, which was the reason for our visit. There's not much else nearby. The rooms are standard and could use a refresh, but they were clean and fine for a night or two.

Breakfast was a welcome bonus, with a good range of choices for different tastes, and the room was tidy and clean. Sharan at reception greeted me warmly and handled check-in in a friendly, professional way. I had a comfortable, peaceful stay from arrival through checkout. I'll visit again, and thanks to the team for a restful break.

The showers are hot and powerful, better than some I've had at much pricier hotels. Rooms are roomy and comfortable, breakfast is excellent for the price, and every staff member I've met has been friendly and helpful.

We found plenty of free parking on site even though we arrived late at night. The receptionist was friendly, helpful and gave us all the information we needed. Our room had plenty of space for two adults and two children, and the beds were comfortable. They'd even left two little bags of sweets on the kids' beds. At breakfast the staff were friendly, kept replenishing the food and clearing tables. The cooked buffet was hot and fresh, and there was a good range of continental choices. We stayed one night as a family while visiting Paultons theme park.
