Cley Hall Hotel

The vegan breakfast was a real surprise, especially since eating vegan while working on the road has been difficult for me. The menu was great. The staff were lovely too. After I’d left, I realised I’d forgotten my rings, which mean a lot to me. I called, and Gemma was wonderful. They posted them to me and I had them back two days after my stay. I travel a lot for work and usually avoid big chains, so I thought I knew what to expect from Cley Hall. It turned out to be far better than I’d imagined. The room was lovely and very clean, and the bed was the comfiest I’ve slept in. It was also extremely good value. I’d recommend Cley Hall without hesitation and will stay again when I’m back in the area.

Breakfast was good, especially the salmon and eggs, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Spalding centre is a great place and only a short walk away. But the central heating failed again, so there was no hot water for a shower that morning. It was fixed later, thankfully, so it wasn’t a complete disaster. The bar shuts at 10pm, though usually a little earlier.

We come here regularly, and it’s good value for money. The breakfast is excellent, the staff are really friendly, and the town centre is an easy walk away. Rooms facing the main road can be a little noisy, but otherwise we’ve had very good stays.

We stopped here on a road trip to Skegness. Elle gave us a lovely welcome and the bar service was great. The breakfast was really good and the beds were comfortable. The low point was my room opening straight onto the car park, which gave it a slightly dodgy American motel feel. The showers in all our rooms, especially upstairs, had very low pressure. Good for a work stay overall, but I wouldn’t choose it for a family holiday.
