Trivelles Mayfair

The place sits on a busy road with lots of traffic, and the car park was poorly maintained. The front desk was often unmanned, and buggies were parked at the bottom of the stairs. Hallway lights were flashing, the carpets hadn’t been cleaned properly, and the building felt dated. Our first room was warm and hadn’t been cleaned. The sheets were stained, and when I raised it, I was told there were “permanent stains.” The shower sprayed out at the sides instead of properly from the head. There’s no way to request room service from the rooms. When cleaners were around, they shouted to each other down the hall and were very noisy. I wouldn’t stay here again.

I left almost straight away after finding what looked like a dead bug on the sheet under the mattress. The sheets also had specks that looked like blood, and the duvets inside them were yellow. The room was filthy, with just one harsh white light. I’ve never stayed in a less clean room. The reception and shared spaces were just as dirty. The carpets looked unvacuumed, the walls were marked and grimy, stair treads were missing, and every door seemed damaged. The place looks like emergency accommodation. The price was a complete rip-off, and I wouldn’t tell anyone to even consider this dump. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

We really liked having a sunlounge in our room. The facilities were basic, which was what we expected for the price, and the building itself is lovely. The rooms and surroundings were looking a little tired. It’s well situated for getting to either Manchester or Stockport.

The mattress was yellow and stinking. I left almost immediately after arriving and demanded a refund. They said it had to go through booking.com even though I’d paid at the hotel. Eventually I called, and they said they would refund me if I didn’t leave a bad review. I recorded that. Here’s the bad review, then. I won’t be blackmailed. DO NOT STAY HERE. Disgusting, the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. I think it’s mainly used as emergency accommodation, so keep that in mind if you book.
