Air Host and Stay - Apartment 5 Broadhurst Court sleeps 6 minutes from town centre

The stay was quiet, and parking was no trouble. The TV reception was excellent, Wi-Fi faultless, and the shower worked as expected. They also supplied sanitising soap, which was a good idea. It’s only ten minutes from our granddaughter, which is why we enjoyed the visit despite the problems. Hot water took a while to reach the shower room, but there was hot water, walls, a ceiling and two doors. I appreciated getting a quick reply to my email, though it shouldn’t have been necessary. When we arrived after a five-hour journey, there was just one towel for two adults. I did get a prompt response from the contact emailer to sort that out, but searching for towels was not what we needed then. At night, bring a torch: it was impossible to read the key safe code without light. We also had to fix the only table before breakfast because its glass seemed dangerous, and we were worried hot tea could spill into my wife’s lap. There was no toilet cleaner, and using the toilet brush felt like it might expose you to something. The shower had nowhere to put shampoo or shower gel. The extractor fan didn’t work, and with no opening windows or ventilation in the shower room and WC, it felt like a steam room. Mould was forming on the non-opening window frames, and there was mould in the shower and on the shower head. I’m not sure how much of a health risk that is. After using the toilet, we either held our breath or left the door open for ten minutes before the next person could go in. It also seemed as though the cleaners were under time pressure. Maybe we expected too much from self-catering accommodation at £90 a night, but this place could be a gem with more effort and attention to detail. Scatter cushions don’t make up for that. A bedroom mirror would help too.

The rooms were clean, the location was great, and there’s a private car park. One of the best Airbnb stays in Stockport.

The accommodation was spotless and presented really well. Excellent place to stay.

Madison-Mae was here in 2020. That was the day I found out my baby girl was on her way 😊
