It's three minutes from Jetparks Ringway, so it worked perfectly for an overnight stop after a late flight. We checked in at 12:30 a.m., and the man on duty was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and warm, though it smelled a little damp, probably from the air conditioning, since the window wouldn't open. I love Premier Inn's noon checkout, good breakfast and comfortable beds.
The restaurant food was very good and excellent value with the £26.99 meal deal. The battered cod was cooked beautifully, and Sam and Charlotte served us. Breakfast was good too, with hot food made to order, much better than the usual buffet we've had at other Premier Inns. We arrived by train, and the station is just a two-minute walk from reception. A helpful, friendly woman checked us in, and our clean ground-floor twin had everything we needed. Sam, the charming bar manager, put my bag somewhere safe when I accidentally left it behind in the bar. We used the hotel to get to the airport, five minutes away by train, for £3.80 for two people, or £2.50 with a railcard. After reading reviews I was a little concerned, but needn't have been. We'll choose this hotel again over the ones on Runger Lane.
The shower was excellent and the mattress exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection and was tasty. The tram for the airport and city is about a seven-minute walk away, and there are shops and restaurants right nearby. We arrived Friday at 1 p.m., though check-in wasn't until 3. The room was ready, but early access cost £15, which annoyed me. It's a no-frills hotel, so I suppose all extras are charged. We also paid another £5 per bed for a twin instead of a double. It was basically a double pulled apart, with the double duvet rolled up beneath the bed. The room was good, but smelled a little musty, and the window didn't open for fresh air. The TV was very good, with the volume locked at 15, so we couldn't hear the neighbours. For the price, I have nothing to complain about and would return without question. The pros outweigh the cons.
The staff were excellent, and breakfast was tasty and decent, though the orange juice had run out. I was there for an extended family birthday celebration. The room was nice, but I could've used another pillow.
The staff were lovely, both in the restaurant and elsewhere, and the location was great for a workshop I attended nearby in Manchester. The food was acceptable, if a bit cheap, and breakfast had a good choice. The building's a little tired and has no lifts. I was surprised to be put in a room at the far end from reception, up and down corridors, which was difficult with my mobility disability. There were mainly air travellers staying before flights. The room heater made a peculiar noise from time to time, and the bathroom had a bit of a smell.
