The Arden Hotel

The food was lovely, and because we were part of a large group we had a room of our own, with staff taking orders and bringing everything out at no extra cost. Breakfast was just as delicious as dinner, with a great selection, and we had our own room again. The staff were helpful, polite and efficient throughout. Our room was beautifully decorated and well stocked with toiletries, tea and coffee, plus robes and slippers for both guests, water and milk. The bedding was sumptuous and the bed very comfortable. There’s plenty of parking, and the hotel is centrally placed near town, the river, shops and pubs. We can’t fault our stay.

It wasn’t cheap, but I believe you get what you pay for, and this stay was worth every penny. We’d highly recommend it. We stayed one night for our anniversary. The welcome at reception was lovely, and our Monkey Puzzle room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The bathroom had both a bath and a walk-in shower. Dinner was very good, with exceptional service from the team. Carys looked after us at dinner and breakfast, which was great too.

The team made our day memorable, and I’m looking forward to visiting the venue again. They were attentive without getting in the way, and their suggestions helped us choose from the food and wine options for a large party. Dinner was great, as was the buffet lunch, especially the soup and buffet fish and chips. I was there for a one-day meeting and evening meal. Staff were friendly and professional all day, checking in regularly and topping up the coffee, which we appreciated. The location opposite the theatre is ideal for a stay in Stratford.

Meet (I hope I’ve spelled it correctly) deserves a special mention. He went out of his way to make our breakfasts perfect. The service was spotless and friendly everywhere, and the breakfast was excellent. We highly recommend it. The hotel is fabulous and in a great location. The rooms were comfortable, with great beds, and had handy extras like coffee, biscuits and nice toiletries.
