The Rookery is one of the best places I've ever stayed. Just a few minutes' walk from the beach, it's quiet, and the bed was really comfortable. The food is excellent, and the rooms are lovely. On arrival, the welcome made me feel they were genuinely glad we'd come. Everything was clean and tidy, from the bedding and furniture to the huge windows, which were so spotless they almost seemed to have no glass. They pay such close attention to detail. I'd give the stay more stars if I could. Thanks for having us, and I hope we see you again soon. Highly recommend it!

A great little B&B on a very steep hill. I'd have rated it four stars, but the off-road parking didn't have space for all the guests, and other guests could block you in.

Alan and Charlene were such welcoming, helpful hosts, and breakfast was perfectly cooked. Mum and I stayed for two nights, and our room was delightful and very clean. The location is excellent too. We can't recommend The Rookery enough, and if we're back in Swanage we'll definitely stay here again.

I loved Swanage on my first visit, especially the sea, walking paths and the town itself. The B&B made the trip even more special. Alan was funny and lovely to talk to, and the room and breakfast were amazing. The room was comfortable and very clean. They topped up the tea and cookies every day, and we could fill in a form to choose exactly what we wanted for breakfast. When we needed more tea, Alan brought it right away. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Swanage. I'll be back for sure! 😁

The owner has two large dogs. They're cute and well behaved, but I'm allergic, and it affected me, so bear that in mind if you have allergies. Otherwise, this is an excellent B&B, with a warm and welcoming host, recently renovated rooms finished to a high standard, comfy beds and a generous, very tasty breakfast.
